Brewster County Groundwater Conservation District and Texas State Law required the registration of all wells located within the District and requires production permits for all non-exempt wells.

The District defines an exempt well as a well located on a tract of land larger than 10 acres for Domestic or Livestock use and is equipped to not produce more than 25,000 gallons per day, or 17.36 gallons per minute. All other wells are considered non-exempt and must have a drilling permit and production permit before drilling and operation.

Once a form has been completed, please return it to the district by mail or email.
